It’s been four years since Bethesda first announced Lost Ark. It was the summer of 2014, and fans of the studio’s work were waiting with bated breath to learn more about what they would do next. At that time, the news was that the game was being developed by a new studio called The Astronauts. They were led by a team of industry veterans with decades of experience, including some who had worked on the original Fallout and Fallout 2. But, for whatever reason, the game never got past the demo phase.
The game’s lore-filled landing page takes the form of a beautifully illustrated graphic novel, set up as a webcomic, that lays out the story of a plane crash and its survivors. It features a wonderful design, with bold lines and vivid color. This is a must-read for players who want to know more about the world of Lost Ark, and for fans of the game, it’s an awesome way to get a glimpse of what the game has to offer.
Lost Ark is a co-op adventure game that is set to launch on February 5th, 2018. The game puts players in the shoes of a group of survivors in various guises. From the determined but reckless pilot to the green-eyed woman running for her life, players will find themselves in unexpected situations in which they must work together to survive.
Nine times out of ten, the only motivation for playing a multiplayer ARPG is to blow up the right enemies, and that’s fine, but Amazon Games would like to draw your attention to the story section of the official Lost Ark website.
Briefly, the game universe consists of two worlds, Arkesia and Petrania, connected by a galactic rift. The world of Petrania is ruled by Lord Kaseros and his demonic legions, while the world of Arkessia is a world of light and order, maintained by the Ark, divided into seven parts for the seven gods and spread across the world. Arkesia is under the protection of the Guardians, who originally kept the peace by repelling those who tried to enter through the rift between the worlds.
the fragments of the ark were sought by the order of Sacrian, sparking a war that led to the awakening of the guards. However, after the defeat of the Order, Cazeros invaded Arkesia and forced the parts of the Ark together to lure Cazeros into a volcano. Then the Ark broke again, and a 500-year era of peace and exploration followed, fueled by the search for the mineral known as arkesium. That peace is now threatened, as the volcano where Kaseros was imprisoned threatens to erupt and bring chaos to the world.
This is how your hero’s story begins. Unless your hero is only interested in evil enemies that blow up a well and glow.
