MSC Cruises has announced that it will resume its US sailings to the Caribbean this summer, with the first of the new-season itineraries departing from New York in June and returning to Italy in August, the same month as the new itinerary for the US-based Holland America cruise line for the first time in nearly 20 years.
MSC Cruises will soon restart sailings to the Caribbean, announcing it will resume the summer schedule this July. The cruise line will also embark on a new service, which will allow guests to spend seven days in San Juan and five days in St. Thomas, including a stay at the historic St. John Hotel.
MSC Cruises (MSC) will return American travel to the Caribbean this summer, with the company announcing two re-launched itineraries that will begin on July 5, 2018. The itineraries will include four round-trip sailings, departing from Miami, Florida and Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Sailings are scheduled to return on June 22, 2018, July 5, 2018, July 19, 2018 and July 26, 2018, according to a press release from MSC.
MSC Cruises has just announced the official start of sales for its reintroduction cruises to the US in the summer of 2023. These cruises will take place aboard the award-winning, state-of-the-art MSC Meraviglia and the glamorous MSC Divina.
Both ships will begin three-, four- and seven-day Caribbean itineraries from Miami and Port Canaveral in August and September. In addition, guests on all U.S. flights will be able to visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the company’s private island in the Bahamas that opened in late 2019, just before the pandemic began.

MSC Cruises resumes US routes
MSC Meraviglia, the first luxury ship in its class, will embark on 2… August, offers three and four night cruises to the Bahamas. From the age of 18. In September, the ship will then alternate seven-day itineraries in the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
– 2. August 2023: This four-night cruise from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean includes visits to Nassau, the Bahamas and the MSC Ocean Cay Marine Sanctuary.
– 18. September 2023: MSC Meraviglia’s first week-long cruise after resuming operations begins in Miami with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Nassau, Bahamas, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve a second time on the return trip.
– 25. September 2023: This seven-night cruise from Miami to the western Caribbean visits MSC’s Ocean Cay Marine Sanctuary, Costa Maya in Mexico and Cozumel in Mexico for the second time.
MSC Divina will be the second of the company’s ships to resume cruises from the United States. She will sail three-, four- and seven-day itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean from MSC Cruises’ new homeport in Orlando (Port Canaveral).
– 16. September 2023: This three-night cruise from Port Canaveral visits Nassau, the Bahamas and the MSC Ocean Cay Marine Sanctuary.
– 3. October 2023: This seven-night cruise from Port Canaveral calls at the MSC Ocean Cay marine reserve in Cozumel, Mexico, and Costa Maya, Mexico.

In light of the new regulations in Florida, MSC Meraviglia and MSC Divina will admit both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests from COVID with graduated protection to protect public health. However, MSC Cruises strongly recommends that guests be fully vaccinated prior to departure.
Hosts who have not been fully vaccinated must meet additional requirements and more stringent protocols apply on board. First, they must purchase MSC Cruises travel insurance and COVID-19 coverage before traveling, while fully vaccinated individuals receive free COVID-19 reinsurance coverage from MSC Cruises. Unvaccinated passengers must take advantage of MSC-sponsored shore excursions during the cruise and be tested upon arrival in Florida and on board.
